.BLOG 118 “Accepting the Truth” THINK ABOUT THIS: People have trouble accepting the truth because it’s not what they have been taught. It’s very hard to unlearn something that was taught as the truth. The mind has trouble accepting something else than what has been heard over and over for years. It’s very difficult to go against the stream of people that are all going in the same direction. But if the truth is found out about a matter, then that’s what has to be done. Jesus said, “The Word is truth.” John 17:17 When Yahweh God shows His children the truth, they are to obey. In the mouth of two or three witnesses, everything is established. Matthew 18:16, John 8:17 It all must line up with the Psalms, the Prophets and the law. Our translated versions have left out things and have added many other things. Certain words have been taught with the meanings changed. We must go to the original Greek (The original Hebrew is not available). But the bottom line is that we go to the Holy Spirit-He is the Spirit of Truth. We have been taught that we have free will, but our will is to do the will of Yahweh God. Matt.6:10 God’s Spirit in His children helps them push against what the world is saying and refuse it. John16:13 The devil entices people to live by their five physical senses (emotions) instead of by what God’s Word says. The devil is very good at twisting the truth through a person’s mind. Satan can change himself so that even the most knowledgeable people can still be led astray. 2 Corinthians 11:14 Sincerity does not count against false teachings. We can be sincere in our beliefs, but they can still be wrong! No one can change Yahweh’s will, or His Word, laws, statues, and judgements. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8 We must listen to Yah’s Spirit, and not to what our will, mind, and emotions (the soul) are telling us. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear , that shall he speak : and he will shew you things to come.” John 16:13
