BLOG 113 Kingdom First

THINK ABOUT THIS:
“But seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33   SEEK: AIM AT AND STRIVE AFTER FIRST OF ALL Yahweh God’s kingdom and His righteousness.  Righteousness is Yahweh’s way of doing and being right. The only way to be in right with Yahweh God is to believe on His Son, Jesus, repent of sin, and to receive His forgiveness. Jesus is saying that seeking the kingdom of God is first priority. The kingdom of God comes on the inside of the believer; we live out of the kingdom, and enforce His kingdom in the earth. As Yahweh God’s children, this is our responsibility. See John 3.
Jesus is our first love, and other things come and try to take us away. Distractions will always do that! We are not to worry about tomorrow; we are to think on the kingdom, and not worry about material things. Matt.6:34 We seek Him first; we know our needs are supplied because the Word says so in Philippians 4:19.
Jesus said, It’s hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew19:23,24), because his riches come first. 2Peter 1:3 says, “We have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness, and blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3 We are told in Proverbs 23:5, “Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.” And in 1Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted (were greedy about) after, they have erred (turned away)from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” And  in Verse 17, “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trusts in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.” When people are rich, they do not need Yahweh God.  Our heart has been made righteous (in right standing with God because of Jesus). For this reason, a righteous heart does not serve money. Jesus equates love of money with unrighteousness mammon. Money must be handled carefully and used wisely lest desire for it seduce (draw away) us from true devotion to God.
Remember the  heart follows the treasures. Where your treasure is there are also is your heart. Matthew 6:19-21 Put your treasures where you want your life to be. We are to avoid loving our personal possessions. We should sell our many possessions because they are distractions, and give the money to the poor, or to the Lord’s work.
In Matthew 19:16-22, The young man that came to Jesus and asked,” what he could do to have eternal life, and Jesus told him to keep the commandments, and to sell all that he had, give to the poor, and to come follow me.”  First, the young man said that he had kept all the commandments since his youth! We know that the commandments cannot be kept. That is why Jesus had to come and fulfill the law! The Scripture says, that the man went away sad because he had great possessions. We know that we must have money to live on because it’s our medium of exchange. When we purchase goods, they surely do not want to receive a goat or a sheep for payment! Our loyalty is to our Lord and Savior, Jesus, not to possessing more THINGS!
The gospel is not for material gain. Some teach that gain is godliness! The Scripture says,  withdraw thyself from such  “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1Timothy 5,6 There are many whose main focus is teaching about prosperity! They have erred in their hearts by being loyal to their possessions and money, and this allows the devil to blind them to the truth. It’s the truth that sets us free.  John 8:32
This is faith cabin saying bye for now. Blessings, love and smiles. 😊
