Blog58 Emotions

BLOG 58                                          EMOTIONS

Our emotions can effect our body’s health. I have spoken about our five physical senses many times. This is one big way that our enemy uses to interfere in our lives. God created us to have these emotions,(see, hear, taste, smell touch),but we must not let them control how we think. We are instructed to cast our cares over on God, because He cares for us. 1Peter 5:7,8 Our bodies were not created to carry these cares, and burdens.
By casting our cares, we are showing God that we trust Him to care for us (and the problems we face). When we attempt to handle our own problems it causes stress to come to our bodies. This stress causes bad chemicals to be released through our bodies. This is what makes sicknesses and diseases to come on the body. Study out Proverbs 4:29-23, and you’ll see that God’s Word is health to all our flesh. In verse 23, the issues of life flows from the heart. So, therefore. We keep our heart with all diligence. Heart here, is referring to our soul where our will, mind, and emotions reside. God’s Word is our medicine! When we hear of some sickness that is going around among people, we take a good dose of God’s Word. We should be confessing the Scriptures everyday. In that way, we are always prepared. And in Proverbs 17:22, “A merry heart does good like a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. Proverbs 15:13, “A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance but, by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.” “Heaviness in the heart of man makes it stoop; but a good word makes it glad.” Proverbs 12:25 There has been a study on how people who are happy and full of joy, produce good to come to the body, but people who are cranky, dissatisfied, and complain all the time; (bad attitude) their body produces bad chemicals(more acid, rather than alkaline) Sick people usually have higher levels of acid in their system. There is a company who actually took some specialized equipment to hospitals, and tested different people. The ones who were happy and positive had a good reading, but the people who were unhappy and disagreeable had bad readings. The Bible says, What we sow, we will reap!  Galatians 6:7 says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.” Verse 8, “For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting.” Again in Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue….” Here is another scripture in Proverbs 6:2, “Thou art snared (trapped) with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” The joy of the Lord is our strength. Nehemiah  8:10  Joy is gladness, and being God’s children, and having escaped hell and destruction should make us be full of joy and gladness. There is not one thing that happens to us that should effect who we are in the spirit (it can’t), but only if we allow it to effect our soul, can it. Our spirits are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. The only way that disagreeable things can effect us is through our emotions! Emotions can be powerful. For example: Take the emotion of love, or hate. The Scriptures say that we love by choice and not by feelings(feelings go up & down). Our example is found in Romans 5:8, where we are told: “But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Also, when we are born again from above by the Spirit of God, we are supposed to be dead to ourselves (our feelings & emotions, wills, etc) See this scripture in Colossians 3:3, “For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God,” Christ becomes our life and we are living our lives through Him. This means that we live by what the Word of God says, and then we will always have a good attitude in every situation. (I am talking to myself, too) The written Word is the logos and the living Word is Jesus. John 1:1 & verse 14 “Thy Words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart; for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16

This is faith cabin saying bye for now until next time. Be blessed, love and smiles.:)
