BLOG 55 MISSING GOD

BLOG 55                              MISSING GOD
None of us are above missing God. I am not, and you are not; no one is! We can all miss what we hear; believing it’s God’s voice when in fact, it’s our enemies’ voice. The way to rightly divide the Word of Truth, is to be in constant prayer and fellowship, and study in God’s Word. 2Timothy2:15  And then we could still miss God. There are scholars that study the Greek, Hebrew, and Latin words to discern what the Holy Spirit is saying (and even with that, they can miss what God is saying). God says to come to Him as a child; meaning: with an openness to learn, and having no preconceived ideas. Matthew 18:3,4 & Luke 18:17 Some “grown ups” do not like to be told anything because they believe that the years that they have put into study enables them to be solid in their understanding of the Scriptures (and they think they could never misunderstand). Also, some, because they have been successful in ministry and have seen miracles and many healed, believe that they are above hearing incorrectly and that they are above correction. It is still possible to miss God! Satan is not powerful like God and we know that when Jesus gave His life and shed His precious blood on the cross; He defeated Satan. Colossians 2:15 We must know that the devil is a defeated foe, forever, but I will repeat again, that he is so cunning and deceitful that he fools many and is using them to deceive others. We are no match for the devil when it comes to knowledge. He is wicked and twists knowledge making it into lies just like he did to Eve in the Garden of Eden. See Genesis 3:4&5. Knowing that you could still make mistakes (no matter how great you are) will keep you humble. Being humble keeps a person open to hearing truth and able to discern God’s voice. Teaching and preaching the Bible is very up-lifting, and fulfilling, but this is how pride can sneak in unawares. This can cause people to be overly pleased (and impressed) with themselves, and they take credit instead of giving God the glory. Being successful in ministry is another way that pride can sneak in. It is all about the motive behind the ministry. We are the vessel that God chooses to use, but it is all His ability. He has blessed His children with authority and dominion (Genesis 1:26) to operate in the earth by the power of the mighty name of Jesus. It really does not matter how much success a person has had in ministering to others, he can still on many occasions, miss what he is hearing. Believing it to be God’s voice, and in actuality being the enemies’ voice. Satan has the ability to come as an angel of light to deceive. 2Corinthians 11:14  Satan tells us what he thinks we want to hear and numerous times, it’s our own voice. We must know God’s character, and sometimes this takes a long time. Not because God is hard to get to know, but because mankind has always put God in a box and tries to make Him be something that He is not. We must be careful not to construct our own religion. People have a bad habit of making God who they think he is, or who they want him to be. They perceive Him to be different than He really is. They judge God by their own personal thoughts. And our enemy loves it when we do this because he knows who the real God is! The real, mighty, God, Jesus, is the One who defeated satan at the cross. Man is set in his own ways instead of in God’s ways. Pride makes it possible for us to think that we are always right.
The serpent (devil) is so sly and subtle;( more than any beast of the field it says in Genesis3:1) he uses the Bible scriptures, but he twists them. He is wicked! Wicker furniture gets its name from this because it is twisted. See 2 Corinthians 2:11,”Lest satan get advantage of us;we are not ignorant of his devises.”  (we shouldn’t be)
If you do not believe that you can miss God, then there could be some problem with pride. Pride puffs up! God resists the proud; and gives grace to the humble. 1Peter5:5 We must all humble ourselves and believe that this is possible. 1Peter 5:6 Because it is! It does not matter how long a person has been a Christian; it does not matter how well he knows the Scriptures, nor how many years that he has been sitting in a church congregation; he could still be unaware of the intent of God’s Word. I have learned that if we were never taught the history behind the Bible, then we do not have the revelation that our Heavenly Father desires for us to have. He is very patient with His beloved children, (Ephesians5:1) but when you begin to know the truth, He holds you responsible and accountable to live by that truth (and to tell others). 1John 3:1&7
I have been studying the Bible since 1986, and now for the past three years, I have been discovering many, new, and wonderful, things that I have never known before. Most people only know what they have been told. They do not ask (inquire), and seek,(dig) and knock on their own, but they accept what they have been told by others. Matthew 7:7 & Luke 11:9  Going to Bible school, does not guarantee,( or ensure you) that everything that you learn will be the absolute truth, because if the teachers do not know the essential knowledge concerning the history behind the Bible, they will not be equipped to teach you. It’s like the blind leading the blind. The Bible says they both will fall into the ditch.Matthew 15:14, Luke 6:39 We must know the important things of the Bible for ourselves. I am convinced that no one is above making mistakes, and no one is perfect in their knowledge (except Jesus). Just recently, I have seen that we have all been wrongly taught. The reason being: Is that we are heavily influenced by family tradition and religious tradition. It has been our enemies’ grave agenda to ensnare God’s people and to trick them into believing his lies about the truth of the Bible. There is not any truth in the devil; it is all counterfeit. If satan can get people to teach his lies instead of God’s  truth, he can affect where they end up for eternity. That is what he is after! All the old time preachers knew the history behind the Bible. It was unquestionable. Knowing the history behind the Bible significantly changes the meaning. All along, it has been satan’s plan to change God’s laws, seasons and times. He has used men and women (some of God) to confuse the laws that God set in motion. Ever since he was cast out of heaven by God, he has been hard at work to deceive God’s people. Isaiah 14: 12-16  He interjects his interpretation! Pride is what caused the devil to fall. Because of this; pride is what he uses on mankind. We are all capable of being misled, (and to miss lead others) no matter how sincere we are. It is possible to be dull of hearing. Hebrew 5:11-14
There are many members in Jesus’ body. Not all are the same. There are: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers.Ephesians 4:11-13 Each member has a different calling and a different mission,  but we are all supposed to be about our Father’s business and that is bringing His Kingdom to earth ((Matthew 6:10) and reaching the lost. (as we are led by Holy Spirit)
Jesus said that when He went back to heaven, He would send the Helper; the Comforter to be with us. John 14:16,26 The Holy Spirit is God and He is our teacher, and He dwells in us. 1John 2:20,27 But this does not mean that God will not use others to reveal pertinent things that we need to know for our own protection. In Proverbs 18:13, “He that answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame unto him.” Also in Proverbs 11:14, “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors  there is safety.” No man is an island unto himself. We are His temple. 1Corinthians 3:16 He leads and guides us into all truth. John 16:13 The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord. Psalm 37:23  It still depends on where you are coming from as to whether, or, not you will get to the truth. If you start from the wrong place, you will end up at the wrong destination! No matter how much I think I know, I have not arrived yet (I can still miss it). Therefore, our number one goal is to stay “HUMBLE.” And teachable!

This is faith cabin saying bye for now. Love and smiles, until next time. You are blessed–believe it!
