Blog 39 WHY PRAYERS AREN’T ANSWERED

BLOG 39            WHY PRAYERS AREN’T ANSWERED

Yahweh is a God of faith.  He spoke the world into existence by the words of His mouth.  He said and He saw that it was good.  God knows when He speaks, it will come to pass.  He believes what He says!  He knew that what He spoke would come to pass because He was speaking by faith.  In Genesis 1:27, we are told that we are created in His image.  (some translations say image and likeness)   In Mark 11:22, we are told to have faith in God.  This means that we are to have the God kind of faith.  If we are created in our Father’s image, we can have His kind of faith.  Romans 12:3 says, “God has dealt (given) to every man the measure of faith.” He has given all born again children the same measure of faith.  What we do with our faith is what causes it to grow.  In James 2:17,20,26, it says that faith without works is dead.  If there is no action to faith it is mental assent.  Faith is of the spirit.  Jesus tells us that we can have what we say if we do not doubt in our hearts but believe those things that we say shall come to pass, we shall have whatsoever we say.  My paraphrase of Mark 11:23.

Do you remember Mark 11, in verses 12,13,14,20, &21, where Jesus said he was hungry and he saw a fig tree, but he found nothing on it   In verse 14, it reads that Jesus answered and said to it, “No man eat fruit of thee hereafter forever.” (did the fig tree talk to Jesus?)  The disciples heard what Jesus said to the fig tree.  On the way back from Jerusalem, they saw that the fig tree had dried up at the roots.  Peter remembered that Jesus had cursed the fig tree and now it was withered away. (situations and things do talk to our minds)  Jesus tells his disciples to have faith in God.  My point in referring this passage to you is that when we pray or speak to something, it doesn’t matter what it looks like in the physical realm.  If we believe in our hearts that what we say will come to pass, we will have what we say.  We have been given Jesus’ power and authority to use his name in earth to come against sicknesses, poverty, and disease (and whatever else we need).  As you pray and speak to a situation or to a problem, it dries up at the root.  You can’t see the root, but you know it is happening because you spoke by faith.  You are in agreement with God’s word and he watches over his word to perform it and it never returns void. Jeremiah 1:12, & Isaiah 55:11
In 1 John 5:14 & 15, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us, and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” Our confidence is in Him to answer our prayers when we are praying in faith according to His word. We base our faith on the character of God that he is a man that can not lie. See Numbers 23:19
If we are praying according to His word, we can know that we will have what we ask Him for if we are praying in faith. This is why so many do not get their prayers answered. They are not praying in faith.
God is good and He desires that our prayers be answeresd, but if we are not praying in faith and knowing that we will receive what we have asked him for-we will not get it!  Only faith pleases God and everything that is not of faith is sin. Hebrews 11:6, Romans 14:23
If you can not pray in faith, you had better wait until you can. When we pray, it’s not a scatter shot prayer. We aim our words at the target that we desire, knowing we will hit it. We expect to receive whatever we are believing God for.
You have to know God’s word and be fully persuaded that you will receive what you are praying for. This comes by faith and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
God has already supplied all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19   You have to know this and really believe it.  If you do not, then you need to meditate in the scriptures until you do!  I suggest that you not even pray and ask God for anything if you are not sure you will receive the answer.  Unbelief is something He doesn’t like. We do not please Him with unbelief.  Do you know why?  Because He has already done everything in Christ at the cross.  The Bible says it was done in God’s heart before the foundation of the world.  ….”The works were finished from the foundation of the world.”  Hebrews 4:3
The Bible says Jesus could do no mighty works in his own home town because of their unbelief. Even Jesus could not help anyone if they did not believe.
Praying without being confident that we will receive our answer is like a scatter shot. When a person is shooting at a target, he aims at the target, not up in the sky somewhere.  Why pray if you don’t know you will receive your answer?
A child of God has to be aware of the fact that if he belongs to Jesus, God has already supplied all his needs.  Philippians 4:19  God supplied all our need before we even had one.  He is a good God and He really does want our prayers answered, but we must pray in faith believing that we have already received when we first prayed.  Mark 11:24  We are to believe when we pray, and not wait to see the results.  If you have to see it first before you believe-it is not faith!

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1  Faith is trust.  We trust our Father that what He says in His word will come to pass.  This all depends on us; whether we are praying in faith or not.
Jesus told me in a dream one night that my faith equals trust and trust equals my protection. See, if we have faith in God, we trust Him and that trust becomes our protection.  It seems like people trust everyone except God.  They trust the doctor when they are told that they have an incurable disease.  Although, in the Word of God, we are told that Jesus took thirty nine stripes on His back for our healing. (this was done before He hung on the cross) In Psalms 107:20, “God sent His word and healed us and saved us from our destruction”. Jesus is the living Word. He finished everything at the cross.  John 19:30   Praying in faith by the word of God is what ensures us that we will get our prayers answered.
We have to believe God’s word more than the evil reports that we receive. There are facts sometimes concerning our situation, but they are subject to change. God’s word never changes and it is forever settled in heaven. Psalms 119:89
I was wondering why so many do not get their prayers answered when they are praying God’s word!  The Lord told me that it’s because they were not praying in faith.  It says in James 5:15, “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up…..” This word saved means healed.  The prayer of faith shall heal the sick!  Saved and healed are the same words with the same meaning.  When you are born again from above by the Spirit of God you are complete in Him and one with Him. Colossians 2:10   We have been made whole, sound, and complete in Him.  We have been given everything that pertains to life and godliness. 2 Peter 1:3 The scripture says it is according to His divine power that He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness and that it comes through the knowledge of Him.  If you do not know His word, you will not know of these promises.   You have to know who you are in Him and know that you have been raised up and made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ.
See Ephesians 2:6   He tells us in Matthew 6:33, “But seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” He says the first thing that we must do is to seek His kingdom, and His righteousness. If we seek His kingdom first, the kingdom comes on the inside of a born again child of God.  We live out of His kingdom on the inside of our spirits.  We draw out what we need by faith.  It’s all by faith!  Of course, we don’t ask for anything that is not His will.  Remember, His will is His word and His word is His will.
Jesus tells in John 3:3, “Except a man be born again, he can not see the Kingdom of God.” The only way to see God’s kingdom is to be a new creature in Christ. 2Corinthians 5:17  Now,we are in right standing with Yahweh because we have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  2 Corinthians 5:21
The more time spent meditating in God’s word the more our faith will grow to believe that when we pray we will receive.  Every belief is backed up by the word of God.   We receive it done when we pray no matter what it looks like in the physical realm. (having symptoms doesn’t mean you haven’t been healed)   Satan uses counterfeit symptoms, and if you believe these, he will bring them on you.  The symptoms have to be ignored.  People say, “It’s the flu season, I better go get a flu shot.”  They are preconditioning their bodies to take on the flu!  Words are the most powerful thing in the world.   The word is spiritual.  You can’t see into the spirit; it is unseen by our natural eyes.  We see with the eye of faith. Jesus tells us in John 6:63, “It is the spirit that quickens; (makes alive) the flesh profits nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”.   Also see Romans 8:11 & Hebrews 4:12

When praying in faith, God answers immediately. There is no waiting!  No guessing!  You know that you have received because you are confident in Him that He has answered your prayer.  By faith, you receive it done when you pray.  Mark 11:24  It does not matter what the situation looks like, it is done!  Faith is trust.  You are trusting God, your heavenly Father, who can not lie.  In Genesis, it says He worked for six days and rested on the seventh because He was finished.  Hebrews 4:4  When we pray and believe, we are reaching into the spiritual realm and pulling out by faith what we need.  God has already done everything by His grace.  We appropriate by faith what He has already done by His grace.
Jesus said in Matthew 21:22, “And all things whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.” The prerequisite for receiving is believing–that is the key.
I’ve tried to tell you how to get your prayers answered every way that I know.  I hope I have helped you.
This is Faith Cabin signing off for now. You are blessed. Love and smiles.
