Greater Than Great

BLOG 37              NOTHING GREATER THAN GREAT
I heard this song that said,”There is nothing greater than great,” and it got me thinking about Jesus and how great He is.
The Gospel is the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.  When preaching, teaching, or studying the Gospel; it is the person, Jesus, that is being referred to.  He is the Gospel!  There wouldn’t be a Gospel without Him.  The Gospel is “good news”.  Paul said in Romans 1:16, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone that believes…”  Jesus is the power of God unto salvation and He upholds everything by the Word of His power. Hebrew 1:3
He is the answer to all of life’s problems. He is the way, the truth, and the life.  John 14:6  While being led by Holy Spirit, we discover and believe on Jesus, and what He accomplished at the cross; we have eternal life.  Eternal life is knowing God. John 17:3 He becomes our life and greater is He that is in us than he that is in this world. 1John 4:4  Our lives are dead and we are hid in Christ.  He is our life.  Colossians 3:3,4
He is great and mighty and worthy of honor.
The only begotten Son of God came to earth, put on flesh, died on a cross to save mankind.  Salvation is the Greek word, “sozo” which means deliverance, preservation, healing, soundness and wholeness.  I say again, that Paul said in Romans 1, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes….”  Jesus (Yahshua-Hebrew name), finished everything at the cross. John 19:30  He did a complete work at Calvary.  When this revelation is received, you are set free from satan’s lies.  “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”  2 Corinthians 5:17  “We are complete in Him.” Colossians 2:10
“Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord.” Psalms 150:6
This is God’s grace.  Our part is to believe on Jesus and receive by faith this work.  It is a free gift, one we can’t earn, nor do we need to.  Jesus did it, once and for all.  While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
This is why there is nothing greater than great Jesus.
I have heard the praises of many in our society who, I admit have done some wonderful things for people, but did they lay down their lives for mankind?  Did they hang on a cross and shed their blood to save anyone?  Did they take all sin, all disease, sickness, and poverty on their back?  No, Jesus did that!  Only He could do this because He was the sinless sacrifice that God would accept.
Praise ye the Lord, I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. Psalm 111:1.                                                                  When we believe on Jesus and receive His salvation, we die!  He becomes our life.  We have a new life in Him.  Now our lives are lived through His life.  Galatians 2:20 reads. “I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”  This death of ours frees us.  There is no longer the pressure to perform or to be something in the world and to dazzle anyone with our accomplishes.
Great and Mighty Jesus is our life.
Now we have the desire to make Him known.  We want all to know how wonderful He is and what all He has done for us.  Knowing this, we long with all our hearts for others to experience this freedom that is found only in Him.
The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. Psalm 118:14
Born again believers are sold out for Jesus.  It is all about Him and His will in the earth.  We no longer care or have a personal will.  His will is our will.  When a person is born from above they don’t have the same values.  They are changed from the inside out.  It is no longer we who live, but He who lives in us.  The things of the world have no attraction for us.
Jesus is our Savior, our Lord, our Redeemer, our soon and coming king.
I remember the joy experienced when I learned this wonderful news.  It set me free from worrying about achieving “my goals.”  I no longer had goals to accomplish. I was freed from the pressure that the world tries to put on you.   God does not acknowledge mans’ prideful efforts.  Only men are concerned with the positions of others.  God (Yahweh) looks at the heart.
In God have I put my trust; I will not be afraid what man can do to me. Psalm 56:11  It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8
Jesus washed the feet of His disciples showing that the greater one is the servant of all.  Believers are to be the servants of all.  It is all about Jesus’ ministry.  If He could humble Himself and wash His disciples’ feet why can’t we do the same?  It is all about attitude!  Do not ask and expect what can be done for yourselves, but what can you do for others.  Recon yourself dead and hid in Christ Jesus.
We are to die to ourselves and live our lives through Christ.  If we don’t die, then we do not have His life.  We trade our lives for His at the cross.  He becomes our identity.
There is nothing greater than great and Yahshua is great and mighty, worthy of all our praise.(Yahshus is pronounced Joshua)
The sooner that we come to this knowledge, the better we will be.  No more grasping for “things.”  Our treasure is in Jesus Christ, and the blessing we can be to our brothers and sisters in the Lord, and the many souls that we can bring to heaven with us.
We must die at the cross.  If we don’t, we can not have His life.  We are buried with Him in Baptism and raised with Him in Resurrection.  “Raised to newness of life.”  Colossians 2:12, Romans 6:4    To know Jesus’ love and great sacrifice, His goodness, and His mercy is just the greatest revelation in the whole world that anyone could ever have.  Don’t waste your time, call on Him right now, you will never regret it.  I know!   You will be so blessed because He is the most important person you will ever meet.
There is nothing greater than great and Jesus is the greatest of all.

This is Faith Cabin saying be blessed.  Love and smiles ’til next time.
