BLOG 25 THANKFULNESS

BLOG    25        THANKFULNESS

Being thankful is Godly.  We look back in thankfulness at what God did at the cross, and we look forward by faith to the future.  Our future is hid in Him because our lives are hid in Him. Colossians 3:3
Stay close to God—only He knows the future. ( mankind, in general, does not know the future)   He leads and guides US to all truth, and tells US things to come.
In Isiah 55, says that we can not know His thoughts and ways.  But we can know because we are in Him.  It is the unsaved person (the evil) who can not know His thoughts.  Every scripture must be read in context.  If one takes a scripture out of context, it can change the meaning.  We can know the future He has planned for His children.  Christians wrongly think that they can not know God’s ways and thoughts because they are so much higher than theirs’.   Gods’ ways and thoughts are His word.  One must rightly divide His Word. 2Timothy 2:15
In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will concerning us.  We can quench the Spirit of God if we are not thankful.  With thanksgiving, we let our requests be made known to God.  He takes great pleasure in blessing His children.
There are conditions to God’s promises.  A person can’t just pick out a blessing in His word and say “this is mine” if he is not living by faith.  By faith and obedience we inherit His promises.
Obedience to His word is His will for His people.  In Deuteronomy 30, He admonishes us to choose life.  Life is only found in Him.  He says in Matthew 6:33, we are told to seek His kingdom first, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to us.  All these things are everything that we need. Every spiritual blessing is ours, Ephesians 1:3, and everything that pertains to life and godliness. 2 Peter 1:3
Being in Christ is the only answer. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”        2Corinthians 5:17
“Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ”2 Cor.2: 14     In Christ, how very thankful we can be.  “But as it is written, eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him.”1 Corinthians 2:9   We are so much more to God than the birds and the flowers.  He takes care of them; why wouldn’t He take care of us?   It is all by faith.  You must believe what His word says.( and then act on it ) God is love, and love desires to give, but we bind His mighty hand if we do not believe.  His mighty hand can do nothing for us if we do not believe by faith.  The just must live by faith.
Being thankful shows that we have faith and trust in Him.  When as children, we trusted our parents to feed us and clothe us.  Probably never thought about it; just expected it.  Well, our heavenly Father desires for His children to expect him to take care of them.  Having an attitude of gratitude towards Him, can be seen in a person’s actions.
God looks at the heart.  The inner most being, at the center of a person’s gut is where our believer is located.  We put our hands on our chest, over our physical, beating heart, to symbolize our spiritual heart.
We can in peace be givers because we are confident that our God will take care of us.  We are thankful when we look around the world and see all the chaos that is going on; and we know that our God is protecting us.  We are free in Him.  We have victory in Him. We have peace and joy in Him. We overcome the world in Him.  Every good thing is found in Him only.  But it must all come by and through faith.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.  Reverential fear is honoring Him for who he is, and for all that He has done.  This the key to our understanding, and to one’s thankfulness.
God is good–only good!  You must know that, regardless of what you hear and see.  If you know and believe that God is good, you are blessed; and this knowledge will keep you from falling in times of trouble that will come upon the world.
So be thankful that we have a God who loves us and who has wonderful plans for us.  He is our true Father. He is the One who created us.
Give Him praise and honor with thanksgiving in your hearts.  He so deserves all our praise and thankfulness.
Teach your children to love Him and to honor and obey Him, also.  Then they will be protected, and saved from destruction.  Teach them the word of God when they are young so they will have an opportunity to grow in faith.
Read the word of God yourselves–no matter if you understand it or not!
I am so thankful that Jesus died to save me, that He shed His blood so that I could be forgiven, and that He took forty( less one) stripes on His back to heal my body.  All these blessings can be yours’ too. (If you don’t know Him already).  With a sincere heart, by faith, call upon Him now, and receive Him into your life; asking forgiveness.  He has already died for us all, and completed the work at the cross of Calvary.  One sends himself to hell by not believing on the One that God has sent to save mankind.  That One is the Christ.
This is Faith Cabin signing off in thanksgiving to my God for all He has done for me and for my loved ones.
Love, Blessings, and Smiles.
