Blog 12 Great Cup to Bear
Jesus had a great cup to bear in saving us. He said “Father if it be thy will let this cup pass from me; but not my will be done, but thine will be done.” He knew the Father’s will was to bring us all back to Him.
“For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, dispising the shame, and has set down at the right hand of God.”
Jesus had to be separated from his Father because God can not be connected to sin.
This is why it is so serious if a person doesn’t choose to believe in Jesus and the work he finished at the cross. God sent His only begotten son to save mankind. He was the sacrifice. In the old testament goats and bulls were sacrificed every year. They could never take away sin forever. There had to be blood shed for the forgiveness of sins. See Hebrews 9:12–14.
Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. The spotless lamb of God; he was perfect and without sin He put on his body all our transgressions, sicknesses, and diseases.
There is no remission of sin without the shedding of blood.
John 3: 36, says, “He that believes on the Son has everlasting life, and he that believes not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (will stay on him)
Also in 1 John 5:10, “He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself; he that believes not God has made Him a liar because he believes not the record that God gave of His Son.
Jesus’ blood that was shed sits in the mercy seat in heaven as proof, and as the witness that all was finished at the cross.(John 19:30)
Say yes to Jesus now!! You will never, ever, regret it
